thank you all for your kind words and wishes - I just wanted you to know that I have talked with the staff at the Care Center my Grandpa Ben was at (he received the BEST of care by quality people), and they have agreed to let me make cds of 40's and 50's era radio shows and they will play them for activity and visiting time. One of the ladies told me that it would be perfect for a few old Navy guys there at their facility. She said about the only time they would talk was when they sat together and talked about their time in the Service.
How about it everybody? Get some of your favorite Shows and make cds for a local rest home and let people relive wonderful times...
This site offers so much, may be can pass on the blessing and our unique American Heritage not only to those who have never heard it before, but to those who don't even realize that Phil Harris, Jack Benny, Bob Hope, and the whole gang are just a PLAY button away.
I know I'm going to get on it. Thanks for reading!
